Decaying Winter (Enemies)

Enemies are hostile NPCS that serve as obstacles to prevent players from winning. All will drop one to two Rations if killed during the Looting phase of the night, however these do not drop during the base defense phase. Although they always physically drop their weapons, these can never be picked up. There are currently 3 main factions that are hostile to both the player and other NPCS. The 3 main factions are: •Scavengers •Raiders •Reikgon Melee Scavengers These Scavengers wield only melee weapons. Their strength is highly variable, and they are found both across the map during scavenging phases and when invading the Safe Zone. Stronger & smarter melee scavengers start appearing from Night 3 on-wards during waves (Sledgehammer Scavengers appearing on Night 6 on-wards for example). What is Crafting? Crafting is the act of constructing items using scrap or other obtained materials. There are two types of crafting: Workbench Crafting and Handcrafting. The most common type of crafting, requiring a workbench. To craft using the workbench, find a blueprint for the weapon you need, and obtain the amount of scrap you need to craft. The quantities are contained below. Blueprints give up to 5-18 scrap depending on their value, and this value is likely determined with how much the weapon costs to make. Weapons that cost 50 scrap will give scrap amounts on the lower end of the spectrum (5). Weapons that cost 100 (this being indicative of its higher value) will give scrap amounts near the higher end of the spectrum (18). Decaying Winter featured elements from wave-based, team-based, FPS and survival games. Gameplay could be split into two distinctive periods, the scavenging phase and storm/night phase. A typical game lasted 10 rounds or nights. • Players could choose a perk, which was one of 20 distinctive character classes. Each perk had its own special ability/abilities, strengths, weaknesses and role in the team. •Players could choose up to 3 traits, which modified existing characteristics. - Examples included increasing movement speed, decreasing damage taken or improving gun handling. This game has 2 phase: •Looting Phase •Storm Phase During the scavenging phase, players explored the Crossroads-themed map, fighting enemy AIs and searching for supplies. Players could find melee weapons, explosives, firearms, ammunition, medical items, blueprints and more.
